- YHC was saddened by the recent passing of longtime Phillies catcher Darren Daulton from brain cancer so the warmup was in honor of him (He was #10 so we did 10 of each exercise). He was a 3 time All Star and was the leader of a crazy team that somehow ended up in the 1993 World Series after many losing seasons (including last place in 1992). Teammate Larry Anderson said of his death: ““Darren Daulton the ballplayer was and ALWAYS WILL BE synonymous with great leadership and winning. Darren Daulton the person was and ALWAYS WILL BE synonymous with caring and compassion. He never turned his back on anyone, whether they were hurting or in need and was always there even if he merely sensed that someone was on the struggle bus. He may not be in the Baseball Hall of Famer, but he is a Hall of Famer as a person, as most anyone who has known him will attest to. He always greeted you with a big smile, a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek and I will forever miss that greeting…until we meet again!!!”. That’s not a bad way to be….
