Devo: Covered the tragic story of JFK Jr.’s plane crash. Investigators determined that he had gotten disoriented (didn’t know up from down, left from right- wasn’t instrument rated), never sent a distress call – investigators concluded that he likely never realized there was a problem. The story spoke to me because I feel like we sometimes walk through life having no idea that some of the things we are doing on a daily basis could ultimately lead to a negative outcome, yet we’re oblivious to them. A reminder to evaluate our daily ‘systems’ – i.e. – quiet time, regular ‘dates’ with our spouse and kids, intentional conversations with our co workers and friends and determine what needs to be changed in order to plot us back on the course that God has for our life.
