The theme of the work out was “Keeping Up With the Joneses” (KUWJ).
When you see the acronym (KUWJ) your partner will execute the exercise then you have to “one-up” them on each exercise below unless otherwise noted.
For example: Burpees to 10 (KUWJ) OYO– Your partner executes one burpee. Then you execute two burpees. Then your partner executes three. Then you do four… Do this all the way up to 10.
By the end of the exercise Partner 1 will have completed 25 burpees & partner 2 (the one Keeping Up With the Joneses) will have completed 30.

Devo: Fight the Keeping Up With the Joneses trap with Contentment.
Today’s BC demonstrated how Keeping Up With the Joneses can make you expend more energy. This is the same danger we face in our lives socially and financially when we try to keep up with the Joneses. The way to fight this is with Contentment.
I shared the following quote with the PAX:
“Being content doesn’t mean that you don’t want better things or a better life, it means until things do get better, you’re going to be thankful for what you have!”
Years of financial counseling has proven to me that when we try to keep up with the Joneses we can end up broke and miserable.
Even within F3 we can fall into the trap of trying to be like another pax member or being better than another Q. All you have to be is the best YOU that YOU can be. You run your best time. You complete your best amount of evolutions during the monthly endurance test.
When you Q, you Q the best way that you know how and how you like to Q. Be YOU! And be content with who you are and what you have.
Here’s a prayer that helps keep me grounded and content as I prepare to Q:
“Father thank you for the opportunity to serve your men with this workout. I thank you that this workout will be challenging enough for the fittest and can also be done by the least fit.”
I also shared the following short story, that you see in the video below, about how Keeping Up With the Joneses and trying to please other people made me broke and miserable and how contentment changed everything: CLICK PLAY TO WATCH THE SHORT VIDEO:
