The Actual USS F-3 was a sub and not a steam ship. For our purposes, the SS F3 was a “special” looking ship.
The mission of F3 is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.
Conditions: it was actually warm! Mid-60’s and humid. YHC wore a tank top for the first time in a long time. Bellator & Recount had long sleeves on and were regretting it about halfway through our run.
FNGs: NONE
COP: Scretch a bit, shake it out. Ready? Ok, good.
The Thang: Bingo Box Tuesday! Whoohoo!!! It was PAX choice to continue marking off Bingo boxes in the monthly challenge. Floppy began with an SCS to spell “2018” with his course, Myrtle & Hookie got some intervals in, Glitter Pony managed to find Floppy after his Seismic DD and Bellator, Recount & YHC took a 3-mile tour (3.36, actually) to draw out the “SS F3”. Was it an extremely rudimentary drawing of a steam ship? Yes, yes it was. Was it recognizable? Yes, yes it was (regardless of what that Yankee twat HDS had to say about it…I haven’t seen HIS drawing yet. And these streets ain’t exactly conducive to making drawrings, dog. Not that his comment bothered me or anything. Not at all. Barely even noticed. So, yeah…whatever. I’m cool).
Mary: still haven’t seen her at a running AO.
Numberama: 7
Namerama: Seriously? Look up. Check out the tags. Baffled by this one being here.
Pledge and COT: Done
Announcements: Charlie Post, Pulled Pork and Pie sale for Picasso coming up (Glitter Pony was hoping for meat pies like a good Brit), Hallucination Run and pacers for it.
Prayer requests/prayer: Safety for all, Bellator’s family getting over sickness, Picasso’s recovery. I know there were more…
Moleskin: It was a nice, relaxed and fun day at Tremor. Fantastic, warm weather was a welcomed change over the cold running. Drawing the boat was pretty fun. It was a completely new route and kept things fresh…especially since we had to cross over 78 about 6 times without the benefit of a stop light, ha! We were very safe, though. It was also cool that we all accidentally ran into each other a couple of times out on the course and also happened to meet back up with our different routes about a half mile out of the AO and finish together. Nice work, gentlemen!
