21s – The PAX finished up 21s in sync so instead of the 10 Burpee punishment we did five.
Forced march. The PAX keeps up a steady mosey in a line. Man in the rear runs around the PAX carrying a block and looping it back around to hand it off to the man at the rear. The man handing off then sprints to the front while the block carrier begins his loop around the PAX. We did a half mile.
Each member of the PAX grabs a block and meets at the sidewalk in front of the armory for some 11s.
Squat Thrusters, Cusack to the far sidewalk, Curls for the Girls (with two blocks), Run back
Goblet Squats, Cusack to the far sidewalk, Blockees, Run back (Had to modify the numbers here due to time constraints. Started at 5 Blockees / 1 Goblet Squat. We made our way to 3 Blockees / 3 Goblet Squats before we had to call time).
Mary: Pretzel Sit-Ups x 20, Indian Sit-ups x 15, Low Plank / High Plank, Pickle Pounders x 10 IC, WWII Sit-Ups
Numberama, Namerama, Announcements, Pledge, COT
Devo: Psalm 34:8 – “Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him!”
Life has a habit of beating us up. YHC has seen a lot of darkness recently. True joy can come from God alone despite our circumstances. When we find our refuge and shelter in him we can know joy beyond our circumstances.
Moleskin: It was a great morning in the gloom. There was just enough complaining that YHC knew the PAX was getting in some good work. Shortcake was super excited when YHC announced Curls for the Girls would be done with two blocks. The mumble chatter was present and made for a speedy morning.
You note from the title of this BB that Peaches walked to Seismic this morning. Peaches doesn’t drive and it was too cold to ride is his bike, so the man walked all the way from the Crestwood subdivision to Seismic to join his brothers in the gloom and better himself this morning. This man is a beast.
It’s easy for us to fart sack. We’re tired. It’s cold. It’s wet. Whatever… Peaches, who is legally blind, walked to Seismic to work out this morning. We should all be a little more like Peaches. Overcome obstacles, be committed, and make things happen. The man has an attitude that we should all catch.
