Every month the men of Seismic gather to run the Hero, the AO’s monthly endurance test, in honor of a hero to one of the PAX. This month, we honored all members of law enforcement. We felt this was appropriate given their courage on display responding to the recent school shooting in FL and the heroic action of Chief Rick Oliver of Riverside, AL in rescuing Heidi Todd from her kidnapper.

Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Ephesians 6:4 – And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
In the wake of the tragic shooting in FL, these verses seemed appropriate as a reminder to us all of our role as fathers. Aside from our relationship with God, our role as husband and father should come before all else. It is vital to be involved and raise our children. Too many fatherless homes result in young men who do not know how to process difficult circumstances, deal with anger and resentment, or handle their emotions. The role of a father is priceless.
Moleskin: It was a good push by all today. Shout out to Greenbags for hitting 7.3. He was moving in fast forward today and absolutely crushed it. It was an honor to honor those who so frequently put their lives in danger for our safety and the safety of our loved ones.
