Preamble:  the Creek is Goose Creek’s running AO.  Today was Wee Woo’s first Co-Q.  I, Snowden, am authoring this backblast on his behalf.

FNG’s: None, but the disclaimer was given anyway

The Thang:  Run the monthly test.  Start at 11min miles, the target pace drops by 1 minute per mile.  See how long you can last.

PAX all ran the test.  Wee Woo and YHC ended up completing 5 miles at target pace.  Urkel hit 3.  Humpday Mack and Flamingo hit at least 2 (I believe).  Redo and Stringbean were rucking.

There was no Mary

Pledge/Prayer/Devo.

Devo by Weewoo:

“Being an emotional sissy: As men, we are always afraid to show our emotions and often internalize, hide, deny, blame, or deflect. We are reminded from Genesis when Adam was confronted with fear (guilt) from eating the forbidden fruit, he officially became the first, but certainly not the last to “accuse and excuse”. Psalm 23:1 reminds of that “The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing”. We must not forget that God is in control, and with faith in him, he will help us through anything. To be the leaders and fathers in our family we must put God first, have faith, and not be afraid to show our emotions. Reach out to God, your Spouse, or even fellow Men of faith to remain strong.”
