Intro: This was the Bedrock Gym Day reloaded. The guys had a chance to impose their will on some heavier weight, using bars and multiple blocks. 9 men did the harder (heavier) thing at Tectonic this morning.
Disclaimer: No FNG’s.
Warmup: Burpee x1, LBAC’s, Block Merkins (similar to a hand-clap pushup – *Need a name for this exercise).
Thang: Do each exercise to failure.
Station 1: bench press (2 cinder blocks formed the bench. The bar was loaded with 4 blocks.)
Station 2: curls (bar with 2 blocks)
Rotate until every man has done both stations.
Then,
Station 1: squats (bar with 4 blocks)
Station 2: OHP (bar with 2 blocks)
Rotate until every man has done both stations.
We did a multitude of other exercises too: squats w/ blocks, tri exts, lawn mowers, WW1 situps, WW2 situps, X’s & O’s, iron cross, calf raises, alternate merkins, upright rows, LBC’s.
Stow blocks and bars.
Mary: Reverse crunches, 100’s
Numberama, Namerama, Pledge, Announcements, Prayer Requests:
Devo: A man can not only take care of himself, but he can also take care of those around him. “Taking care” of your M includes more than just defending her. If you are like me, there is some task that your M has been waiting for you to handle. Challenge yourself to do it THIS week.
Moleskin: Question of the day from BTB re: WW1 & 2 situps, “Why are they numbered 1 and 2?” Because that’s how counting works! How many World Wars are we going to fight? All of them.
