Temperature was in the 70s, the humidity was high and the ground was soaked.
COP – Mosey around farm house to vehicle, choose your weapon (rebar) and return to sidewalk beside pavilion.
THANG – Best effort “Smoker” – 10 Body Builders, grab weapon, Bear Crawl to sidewalk, run around Bermuda Triangle. Teams determined by order of finish with one team having three men and the other having four. Youngest man assigned as Team Leader for each team and returned to vehicle with the Q. Leaders then drew gear; 4 man team drew Body Armor, Kevlar helmet, Gas mask and two weighted ammo cans, 3 man team drew Body Armor, Kevlar helmet and three weighted ammo cans. Relay race, but with all men on each team running each leg. Bear Crawl to sidewalk with all gear, run around farm house. Upon returning to sidewalk, next man puts gear on and men move out for next lap as a team. Team Leader assigned one man to initially wear Body Armor, Kevlar helmet and Gas mask if so issued. Other team members would carry additional ammo cans and ALL men would carry their own weapon. Winners rest until losers arrive. After completing initial race where all members on the team wore the gear, the gear was exchanged for the other gear (Gas mask) and another race was held. Again, winners rest until losers arrive. Ground all gear and weapons and line up on the sidewalk for jail breaks. All men took a turn wearing mask during jail breaks.

Moleskin – YHC introduced some gear that is standard for Marines to wear, but many of the Pax have not had the opportunity to be exposed to it. All embraced the craziness. This BC allowed men to work together as a team as well as push themselves as individuals. They were also able to experience a proper beat down without a lot of the normal exercises. Although not always present in today’s society, at times it is our own load to carry without assistance or sharing of the pain… Men with weapons and no ammo or ammo and no weapons are useless; train to carry your own load and expect the same from your teammates. TClaps to the Pax this morning for adjusting and embracing this portion of the suck. Running with a Gas mask on is no joke and probably better not to think about the idea that you may be the 7th man who had his face in the mask that morning. TClaps to AC/DC for doing 2 laps with the mask on. The men truly pushed themselves throughout the race and the entire BC. Great Job!
