Free Outdoor Morning Workouts To Build Community Leaders

The Jones, A Jug, A Few Indians

Intro: YHC saw a few Q slots were open for The Jones.  I went ahead and took the initiative to fill 2 of those Q openings.  Thought it would be interesting to do an Indian Run with a coupon.

Weather: Humid, clear skies, mid 70s

FNGs: None

 

COP:

Don Quixote x15 IC

TTT x15 IC

Burpees x10 IC

Mosey over to bleachers to grab a block per person.  Mosey back to the flag.  YHC explained the workout.

 

THANG:

YHC liked the idea of doing an Indian Run as a large part of the workout with more.  I did not like the idea of using a block as coupon while doing an Indian Run with the PAX.  YHC instead created a coupon (full 1 gallon water jug).  YHC and the PAX would use the coupon during the Indian Run (not a coupon per person, just one coupon for the WHOLE PAX).

Round 1: Indian Run w/coupon around the track (1 lap) *1 coupon* (runner at the back of line runs to the front with the coupon, hands coupon off to the person at the front, person at the front hands the coupon to person behind him…until the coupon reaches the person at the back of line, repeat process while running around the entire track).

Once PAX returns to flag after 1 lap Indian Run:

Glockees x5 IC 8ct

Blockees x5 IC 8ct

Adjustment Body Builders x5 IC 10ct

 

Round 2: Indian Run w/coupon around the track (1 lap) *1 coupon* (runner at the back of line runs to the front with the coupon, hands coupon off to the person at the front, person at the front hands the coupon to person behind him…until the coupon reaches the person at the back of line, repeat process while running around the entire track).

Once PAX returns to flag after 1 lap Indian Run:

Glockees x4 IC 8ct

Blockees X4 IC 8ct

Adjustment Body Builders x4 IC 10ct

 

Repeat this process and continue to decrease 1 rep of each excercise for Glockees, Blockees, and Adjusment Body Builders.  Did this entire process until we reached 1 rep per excercise and proceeded to Mary:

 

During Round 3’s Indian Run we stopped to do Burpees x10 OYO (train horn)

Halfway through our very last round’s Indian Run YHC stopped the PAX to complete Flutterkicks x14 IC, Goodmornings x14 IC, Chin Ups x5 OYO on goal post.

 

MARY:

  • After YHC and the PAX finished the final Indian Run w/coupon we did
  • Flutterkicks x14 IC
  • Goodmornings x14 IC
  • Chin Ups x5 OYO on goal post
  • Magoos x20 on Q
  • American Hammers x10 IC w/block

Recover, Recover. Stow blocks, return to flag

Moleskin:  YHC really enjoys working with a team.  I thought a nice way of doing that would be by doing continuous Indian Runs and throwing some burpee styled excercises with a block in the middle would be of use as well.  I believe everyone enjoyed it, got a good morning workout in, YHC needs to practice the cadences/counts for glockees, blockees, and adjustment body builders a little.
