Although there was no specific devo during this Q, I believe one was received from just being with this group. We may not be a conventional “family”, but we’re all there for each other in the day to day and the extraordinary life events!
The morning started with YHC putting the turkey in the oven and hoping for the best…YHC has never cooked a traditional turkey before. The rest of the morning passed by with prepping the side dishes and cleaning up all of the dishes that were dirtied. Around 11:15 the PAX started to arrive; first there was Bedpan and closely followed by Show Me with his M and 2-2.0s, then Schneider with his M and his 2.0. Once all of the sides had finished YHC led the prayer and instructed the PAX to commence the ceremonious Thanksgiving festivities…copious consumption! As the 4 o’clock hour drew closer Show Me asked if that TV worked and quickly tuned in the Cowboys vs Redskins game. Conversation continued accompanied by a 2nd, 3rd or 4th (hey, we don’t judge) helping. Somewhere in this timeframe Magic Mike and his entourage dropped in with some brownies and a large helping of 2nd F! We laughed, we cried, we ate and now we know who Big Bertha is!
