JANUARY RUNNING OF THE INFERNO

Temperature was in the lower 40s.

COP – YHC verbally briefed the Pax through each stage of the Inferno, demonstrated each stage and had each Pax demonstrate the exercise. Mosey around farm house. Emphasized adhering to the standards and proper form.

THANG – The Inferno = Burpees, Pull-ups, WWW1Situps, Jump Squats, CDD, Monkey humpers, American Hammers, Mountain climbers, Flutter kicks, run around farm house. Start at 20 of each exercise, drop reps by 1 for each lap
between stations alternate bear crawl, crab walk, lunge walk. For Ruckers, the starting number is 10, all else remains the same.  Time limit of 35 minutes.

Mary – N/A

Count, Name, Announce, Pledge, Pray

Moleskin – Motherboard went 1V1 with the INFERNO for the first time today and crushed it. Both Motherboard and Placebo achieved new PR’s, but neither man spewed Merlot, so it is hard for YHC to truly judge their level of effort.  The Inferno is brutal… Each month THE INFERNO is ran in the same manner; each station is demonstrated and proper form and personal accountability are emphasized. From the book Freed To Lead. Twain has told us “Tom Sawyer had “discovered a great law of human action, without knowing it – namely, that in order to make a man or a boy covet a thing, it is only necessary to make the thing difficult to attain.” That is the difference between work and play for a man. For us, the Great Law that Tom discovered translates into a premise of F3: Make It Hard and They Will Come. If it’s hard, it’s play. If it’s easy, it’s work. That’s why we never ease back on a Workout.

Number beside your name is your score from today.

Woody 3.0, Microwave 3.2, Sakrete 2.3, Cold Cut 3.0, Placebo 2.2, Motherboard 3.1, Peaches 2.3

Temperature was in the lower 50’s with record setting rain totals.

COP – TTT X 10, Mosey around farm house.

THANG – Smoker; 10 Burpees OYO, Bear Crawl to road, run around Bermuda Triangle. Grab ReBar of your choice upon  finishing the race. Teams split in order of finish for relay races. All Pax who were not racing at that time conducted exercises as called by the Q or his designee. Relay races conducted around the triangle with Rebar, with two pieces of ReBar and without carrying anything; Rinse and Repeat. A sampling of exercises, Hold ReBar out in front of you; Rinse and Repeat, Flutter kicks, Seal Jacks, Arm Circles, Hand Release Merkins, Dirty Dogs.

Mary – NA

Count, Name, Announce, Pledge, Pray, Devo

Moleskin – The rain was steady as was the mumble chatter. Contrary to what some would say, holding ReBar straight out in front of you is NOT hazing, but rather a quality form of training of the mind. After standing Sakrete up last week, Bean Ball made good on his HC. Each HIM got the opportunity to take another Pax soul as he either chased or was being chased around the triangle. Read about taking souls in this book.

Nothing like a little relay race competition to get the men to push themselves out of their comfort zone. Great work by all of the men that fought the FOO and posted. Honored to lead, Major Dad

ONLY VETERANS ALLOWED TODAY AT TECTONIC; NOT REALLY BUT THAT IS ALL THAT SHOWED- 3 MARINES AND A SOLDIER

Temperature was in the mid 50s.
COP – TTT X 10, Imperial walkers x 10, follow me.
THANG – Group run through neighborhood. Q stopped group along the way and lead exercises; Hand Release Merkins, Squats, Flutter Kicks x 10. Rinse and Repeat for 45 minutes.
Count, Name, Announce, Pledge, Pray.
Moleskin – Rolling back in form a work trip to Japan, YHC picked up the Q the evening before the BC. Although somewhat under the weather, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to lead a Veterans Day BC. 2nd F was excellent as men ran through the neighborhood, enjoyed the bright moon and discussed world events.
EXCELLENT WORK MEN!

Temperature was in the mid 60s.

COP – Body Builder x 19.

THANG – Bear Crawl Indian Run; wait until chem-light is passed to you before advancing to front. Backwards Crab Walk Indian Run. Best effort around triangle checking clock for time as each Pax finishes.  Pax paired w closest times for remainder of BC. All exercises conducted in cadence unless otherwise noted. Pax run around triangle with partner again and must match original time. Accountability Merkins x 3 sets. Pax run around triangle  with partner again with alloted five seconds buffer. Fastest and slowest PAx paired together for 2 man team relay race around Triangle. Group Monkey Humpers, Dan Taylors. Pax run around triangle with partner matching original time. Soccer; give up a goal and have to do 5 Burpees in cadence.

Mary – N/A

Count, Name, Announce, Pledge, Devo – Spoke about King David and his many shortcomings, but was still selected to serve. We all have shortcomings, but we should not shy away from serving our community and within F3.

Moleskin – Ramen had mentioned at the last BC that he enjoyed it when each Pax got to lead an exercise, so lead they did. Each Pax got a chance to lead two Boldy Builders in cadence to kick off the BC. In addition, to Ramen providing some inspiration, Cheech and YHC were reminiscing about some of the Q’s Cheech had led prior to going missing for months. In honor of those terrible Q’s, we did the Bear Crawl Indian Run. Would love to know what the driver of the vehicle was thinking when they saw 9 men arm in arm spread across the width of the road. Running against the clock always brings out the best in the men. By having a partner and a clock measuring results, the Pax seemed to push themselves outside of their comfort zone. Cheech is still pretty fast, but Cold Cuts endurance is excellent! AWESOME work men!

Moleskin – Brother Cheech had been battling a near fatal bout with the FOO, but after 7 months he has returned to the gloom; or was it 17 months? Interesting side note, it was also raining the morning Cheech first showed up at Tectonic as a FNG; except on that day it was a Jingles lead 400 Merkins. Welcome back brother Cheech! Great seeing Sakrete visit Tectonic for the INFERNO, next month that 3.1 is yours. TClaps to Placebo for getting a PR.
