After Warm-a-rama PAX were instructed to grab a 45lbs Coupon and line them up in a line on the long side of the basketball court. We conducted 11’s as follows:
1 Burpee with coupon in hand, place the coupon on the basketball court (cement) and pushed it to the opposite side of the court. Once on the opposite side perform 10 Flutter kicks with coupon over head. Then, lunge back with the block over shoulder back to the original starting position.
Then continue process with 2 Burpees and 9 Flutter-kicks, then 3 and 8.. and so on, each set totaling 11.
After 11’s, we had enough time for a really quick DORA. PAX teamed up in pairs and performed 50 Block Presses while the partner Bear crawled the basketball court and back.

We discussed a story that was circulating the internet abouta picutre of 25 wolves walking in a line in the snow and how a wolf pack travels. The story is as follows:
“A wolf pack: the first 3 are the old or sick, they give the pace to the entire pack. If it was the other way round, they would be left behind, losing contact with the pack. In case of an ambush they would be sacrificed. Then come 5 strong ones, the front line. In the center are the rest of the pack members, then the 5 strongest following. Last is alone, the alpha. He controls everything from the rear. In that position he can see everything, decide the direction. He sees all of the pack. The pack moves according to the elders pace and help each other, watch each other.”
This metaphor is not accurate about Wolves, but can be used to explain leadership in business and with adjustments, for F3. The truth about the picture and the wolf pack was that it was an Alpha Wolf leading 24 other wolves through the snow making it easier for them to dredge through the snow when they follow one another’s foot prints. They were in a larger pack than normal to hunt a bigger prey, Bison. For this to work in an F3 mentality, it would be leading from the front and not the rear. But ensuring those in the back of the pack are never left behind. There was a response from an Army Solider about his perspective about this story and the Alpha leading from the rear and his response was “Have you ever pushed a string?”
Moleskin: Gru’s Second Q, ready for Q School! Made sure the PAX were well beaten and not cheated from a great workout. Men of F3 come to the ditch to give 100 percent, and the goal is to ensure the Q is doing the same. Lots of Mumble chatter, and pleasant compliments from the PAX during the 11s such as “THIS SUCKS!” and “Never lead a workout again!” ensured YHC knew his Q was completed successfully.
