F3 Summerville/Goose Creek’s Old Flame (Dave Moore) is celebrating his birthday this year with another Ravenel Bridge ultramarathon – 51 miles for his 51 years. Old Flame will be taking pledges as part of his run in support of Carolina Children’s Charity.

He’ll step off at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, from the water fountain on the Mount Pleasant side, where the walkway from the Memorial Waterfront Park meets the bridge sidewalk. We’re looking for men and women to run with him on every 5-mile over-and-back. Each over-and-back will begin roughly on the hour, but times are approximate. Show up 30 minutes before your start time, meeting on the Mount Pleasant side at the water fountains.

Old Flame will run 51 miles on his 51st birthday on Friday, Aug. 18.
