The mission of F3 is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.
Conditions: Mid-30s, the blocks were freezing
FNGs: None, but 2 visiting Pax
COP: Don Quixote (IC) x10, TTT (IC) x10, LBAC OYO, jog around the building to the block pile
The Thang:
Promised Pax no Burpees… So we did the infamous Blockee Games (Combination of 2 games: 4-corners and 21-15-9, doing deconstructed blockees and adding a 5th “Bonus Corner” at flag). Corners as follows:
- Corner 1: Squats with Blocks
- Corner 2: Mountain Climbers (IC)
- Corner 3: Merkins (Derkins or Berkins if so chosen)
- Corner 4: Overhead Press
- Bonus Corner: Full Blockees
Completed rounds of 21, 15 and 9 in great time.
Mary: Dollar Mary: LBCs (IC) x25, Reverse Crunches (IC) x25, Freddy Mercury’s (IC) x25, Flutter Kicks (IC) x25
And since we were at 90 Blockees (45 full, 45 deconstructed), had to finish up with an additional 10 Blockees for an even 100. Option was give to complete 12 Burpees for the train that was passing, but everyone did the Blockees.

Devo: YHC talked about separation with M and that there are a lot of people giving advice, mostly about standing up for “rights” and not being taken advantage of. While the advice is good, YHC has chosen to be the “bigger man” in the situation and give grace and be a peacemaker even when being attacked, and be beyond reproach during this time. YHC was reminded of the speech in Gladiator where Maximus told the cavalry that “what we do in life will echo through eternity”. Our legacy doesn’t end when we die, and our 2.0s will remember how we react to situations and will most likely respond similarly. Because of this YHC wants to make sure that his actions and reactions are sending the right message and will be considered honorable in the end.
Moleskin: Two visiting Pax this morning: Paula Deen (Greensboro, NC) and Machine (R) (Beaufort, SC). YHC commented that Machine was a machine, but then realize that his birth name being Floyd may have been the naming catalyst from Pink Floyd’s “The Machine”. It was good to get to know them and we discussed how it is good to visit other AOs to learn different exercises and meet some awesome brothers in the gloom. It’s great having a community where you can show up and work out, and be instantly connected, no matter how close or far away from home you are.
